Maxwell (Mackie) and Chip Robinson |
The roots of Robinson Brothers, Inc. started in 1946, when
founder Maxwell Robinson, Sr., began his automotive career by
opening a service station in Denham Springs. A Kaiser-Fraiser
factory rep. challenged Mr. Robinson to sell a vehicle he had with
him and much to the representative surprise it was sold the next
day.
This won Mr. Robinson a franchise with Kaiser-Fraiser which has
evolved into the current franchise with Ford Motor Company as a
Lincoln-Mercury dealership. He moved the franchise from Main Street,
downtown, to our present location at 9550 Interline (off of Airline
Highway (Hwy 61), in 1981.
- Maxwell Robinson, Sr. was active in daily management of
Robinson Brothers, Inc. until 1993.
- In 1993, Maxwell Robinson, Jr. (Mackie) took his current
position as General Manager and Chief Financial Officer
positions he holds to this day.
- Maxwell Robinson, III, (Chip) the grandson of the founder,
and the third generation Robinson, is active in dealership
management as General Sales Manager - a position he has held
since 1995.
